I'm not an really an "app" guy--Alonzo The bad TX was replaced with a new or fixed unit that works fine. I was dealing with Eduardo who responded quickly to all my e-mails and took care of business. I'm too cheap to get a smart phone with data service and I love the Palm interface and practical functions (notes, calendar, contacts etc). My used Palm TX had to be returned because the screen was not working right. Customer service was prompt and polite. PDAs' are great and I'm glad someone stepped up to refurbish units when Palm stoped selling.
I droped it just 2 feet from the floor but it hit at the right angle and whipped out the moniter, but in its defence I must have droped it over a 100 times with no ill efects. It's a grea tt little tool. From its beaming techonilogy to another palm produce,to its sycronising with my home computer,so I never loose any info as long as I sync it daily or any thme I remember, On the down side I think there Instructions could be beter there mp3 player is hard to download to they don't walk you through the steps very well or maby I not that computer savy. All in all I am very happy this is my third palm tx I am a hard user and It goes eveyware I go at work to the farm and in the office I droppped my palm several times never had the metal case till now. I just got a new one and sycronized it with my computer and I retrieved all my Info NOW THATS WHAT I LIKE..
She had just graduated, and was about to start law school, and I thought this was a perfect gift for her. If you're looking to avoid the extra $50 a month by getting a blackberry cell phone than I totally suggest this product.
Great product, and well worth the money. Lots of accessories.
Never had a problem with it. My fiance uses it for class, for a date book, for calculator, and you can even access your computer and online if you learn how to do it.
I bought this as a college graduation gift for my now fiance 2 years ago. She loves it and still uses it to this day.
And the battery life lasts for weeks, sometimes a months.
I rely on my palm pilot for my calendar. My handwriting recognition was near 90% with graffiti 1 on my previous palm. Now, after two years, it has started losing battery charge quickly. This gadget is not worth your money.
I have to re-write every letter I write at least once. Unfortunately, connecting to wireless networks with this PDA is a pain in the butt. I'm not sure if the fault lies with my handwriting or the palm, but either way, test it before you buy it. I don't need the sophisticated programs that are available. I've been a Palm enthusiast, so I decided I would move up to a version that allowed internet connectivity. It demands the network be set up- including passwords. I didn't find being able to use Word or Powerpoint useful. It is embarrasing to be scheduling an appointment only to have to say "Can I call you back in two hours.
I do most of my data entry by computer and then syncing with the palm.Purchase an iphone, blackberry, or one of the simpler palms. When I got my new job I thought I would celebrate by upgrading to a new PDA. On free public internet sites that put you through a webpage that you have to click "accept" to be allowed on the network it will not display the first page so you can't "accept" and can't get on the wireless. The display, functionality, and software are the same as the cheaper palms. My calendar's battery is dead." Also frustrating when you need to look up something quickly- an address, a to-do item, and you get nothing but a black screen. And I don't know why people love graffiti 2.
Great product at first, after nearly a year of limited use the screen didn't match up to the stylus contact point and no amount of recalibrating would fix the issue. Some research online shows this is a noted problem with this item.Palm TX Handheld
